2. School Hours
Morning session - All - 8.55 am - 12.15 p.m.
Afternoon session - All - 1.15 p.m. - 3.15 p.m.
The Local Authority does not accept responsibility for children on the school premises before 8.40 a.m. and after 3.30 p.m. unless they are participating in an authorised activity (e.g. a school club or Planet Fun). It is very important, therefore, that children do not to arrive before 8.40 a.m. All teaching staff meet at 8.30 a.m. for a short meeting – doors are open immediately afterwards. Parents and children are asked to be patient if there is a short delay in opening the doors.
It is important that all children are in class by 8.55 a.m. The bell rung at 8.55 a.m. signifies the start of the school day and all parents are requested to have left classrooms by this time. Late arrivals are registered at Reception, and not in their class, so that repeated occurrences can be followed up. Similarly repeated incidents of children not being collected promptly after school will also be followed up and support offered. Late departures at the end of the day are similarly followed up.
3. School Council
The school has an active School Council. Each class has elected councillors who take the views and ideas of classmates to the School Council, take part in discussions, report back to the class and get involved in projects run by the Council.

4. Home-School Agreement
It is a legal requirement to have in place a Home / School Agreement. We have an agreement between the school, the parents/guardians and the child, which all the participants are invited to sign. An unwillingness to do so, however, does not affect your child’s place in the school. Should you wish to discuss this further, do not hesitate to let us know.
