'Then, Now, Next'
Year 2 Transition Project
Year 1 and 2 pupils explored the transition from Infants to Juniors using the theme 'Then, Now, Next' with artist Tony Minnion from Cloth of Gold South West.

THEN: Images describing their feelings on their first day at school were created by drawing facial expressions that showed their feelings on that day. These were then cut out on the computer and pasted on a picture of a child in Reception Class.

NOW: Backgrounds were created using scrap pieces of fabric in individual 'Glueless Collages'.
Then drawings of pupils in their families showing their current interests and passions were digitised and layered on top of the backgrounds. These were then painted in and resized on the computer.
NEXT: Pupils discussed then drew line drawings of themselves in the future - what they would like to do when they are adults.
One class then created new glueless collages - this time using scraps from the design and technology crate to make up backgrounds.
