Minpins Early Years

At Minpins Early Years Nursery, children have opportunities to play and learn in an exciting, challenging and well-resourced learning environment. Children are able to choose to play both indoors and outdoors, as they choose, in very secure grounds, set in the Indian Queens Primary School site. Ensuring that all children are very safe and secure is taken extremely seriously.
 
The nursery is led by very experienced and fully qualified teachers, assisted by a dedicated, stable, well qualified and experienced team of staff. Staff work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each child's experience of nursery is planned and delivered to meet their child's individual needs. Knowing each child well is a priority, so that their interests are valued and built on and their achievements celebrated.
 
The nursery forms an integral part of the Foundation Stage Department of the school and close links exist between the nursery and reception classes, enabling the children to become familiar with the school environment and very confident, and 'ready', when the transition from the nursery to school takes place.
 
The children enjoy using the school's facilities, including the sports field, fully equipped sports hall and second school hall, for drama, play and music, and the well-stocked library and computer suite. The school grounds, in addition to the nursery environment, offer many other safe and secure opportunities to explore and play.
 
Minpins runs sessions from 9.00 am – 12.00 noon, and 12.15 pm – 3.15 pm. during term-time.  By prior arrangement, children may also attend the Earlybirds Club, which starts at 8.00am, and Twilight Club which runs from 3.15 pm – 5.30 pm.  Children are safely transferred to and from these Clubs, held in a building adjacent to Minpins.
