Welcome back! We hope you have had a great Easter break and your children are ready for this final term of learning in Year 5.
This half term our topic title is 'The Alchemist's Island' and much of our work will follow the themes of New Worlds, Coastlines and Changing Materials.
Children will learn map skills and discover how features of our coastline are formed and destroyed. They will investigate how some changes to materials are reversible and some not. They will dance as ogres and fauns in PE, enter new worlds through the study of some classic fiction and study the origins of a range of salads from around the world and design and make their own healthy salad!.
