On behalf of the whole Indian Queens community, I would like to welcome you to our website. I hope that it gives you a sense of the type of education we offer and how proud we are of our school. We are a large, mixed gender school in the centre of Indian Queens village. The school has extensive grounds providing plenty of space for sports, play and outdoor learning - particularly in our large, purpose-built outdoor learning space equipped with a dedicated classroom.
Inside the building, there are stimulating, well-resourced classrooms, with current technology and a wealth of artwork reflecting our aspirational and creative curriculum. The nursery has a highly skilled team of staff led by the lead teacher.
We are proud of our friendly, highly skilled and dedicated staff. All staff place a high priority on the welfare, social development and, most importantly, happiness of the children regardless of age, ability or background. We aim to ensure that our children are equipped with the skills, knowledge and attitudes that will help them to succeed in life. Our pupils come first and are encouraged to develop their imagination, communication skills and their capacity to learn. We are very proud of our polite, hard-working and kind children.
If you would like to find out more about us or come and visit the school and nursery, then please contact us on hello@indianqueensschool.org or 01726 860540 to make an appointment. I hope that we can welcome you and your children soon.

Thanks to Steve Double MP @stevedouble who came into school to field questions from Y6. Lots of hot topics were debating including the war in Ukraine, hospital waiting times and recent strikes. Thanks for finding time to pop in.
10:31am - 4th February, 2023
Y6 have started to construct a plastic igloo to highlight plastic waste using practical skills. We've been learning about climate changed linked to Antarctica.

Well done to all the children who earned gems for their classes this week: the totals were all very high! Congratulations to those who achieved ‘Sky High’ this week.
10:21am - 4th February, 2023
Year 3 have made stop-motion animation videos of the Iron Man. They enjoyed using software to animate the Iron Man, making him wave, dance and even fall off a cliff like he does in the book!
10:19am - 4th February, 2023
In Tintagel, we have been learning how to be a good friend and what makes a good friend. We know we need to be kind to everyone around us.
10:17am - 4th February, 2023
We're delighted to share pictures of our new lunch tables. They are used in the sports hall where packed lunch children can sit with their friends.
10:23am - 3rd February, 2023
In year 4 this week, we have been deciding if Vikings were raiders or settlers and looking at the evidence to prove our findings. We looked at two differing accounts. We then explored a range of artefacts and enjoyed trying on clothes reminiscent of that era.
4:22pm - 2nd February, 2023
Reception have been learning how to move in different ways. They have learnt high movements, low movements, jumping and balancing whilst remembering their pointy fingers and toes in their gymnastics lessons.
1:49pm - 2nd February, 2023
Well done to the Year 5 and 6 children who participated in the cross-country event on Tuesday. The next cross-country event will take place on 14th March (weather dependent).
