Micmac Class had a brilliant time working with @outdoors_aspire at the beach today. They were inspired by the beach to create Ancient Greek monsters and used these in their creative writing and beach art. They also enjoyed looking after the environment with a litter pick!

Today the Year 5 children had a visit to Newquay Fire Station for the Junior Lifeskills event. The children enjoyed various activities including CPR, beach safety, fire safety, road safety and learning the rules of the railway.

Yakama have been learning about seed dispersal. They learnt that seeds can be spread by the wind, water, dropping and rolling, catching a ride on an animal or even bursting open. The children acted out the methods of seed dispersal to understand how it works.

Well done to the children from year 4 and year 6 who were selected to participate in the 'Commonwealth Games' today. They participated in a number of athletic events and some children even took home 1st place medals! Congratulations to you all!

Year 2 had an amazing morning for sports day. Everyone took part with great sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Well done to the red team, who were announced the overall winners.

Nursery had great fun at Sports Day, with activities and an obstacle race, proudly winning medals. They learnt about sea animals live in polluted water and made a sea turtle with rubbish in her stomach. It made the children sad and they realised they must put rubbish in the bin.

Well done to the girls who took part in the shooting stars football tournament on Monday. The children were all mixed up into teams with girls from other schools and took part in small games with new friends. They even received a football to take home. Great teamwork girls!
