Children in Year 5 have been designer-makers this half term, working tirelessly in DT lessons, creating tote bags inspired by the designs of local textile artist Carolyn Saxby. The children have learnt a wealth of techniques associated with working with textiles, including pattern-making, cutting fabrics, needlework and the use of other decorative resources.
